The Crow’s Eye

Description: A polished, jet-black stone, about the size of a crow’s eye, set into a rusted iron ring. Its surface is smooth and cold, yet faintly warm to the touch when held in deep shadow or moonlight. The stone reflects nothing of its surroundings, appearing as a perfect void.

Acquisition: Discovered inside a hollow, gnarled tree on the outskirts of a Kentish graveyard in 1993, surrounded by the skeletal remains of several large crows. The ring was twisted around a branch like a noose, the roots of the tree clutching it tightly.

Known Effects: The wearer gains brief glimpses into the fae realms, their vision flickering like candlelight, the air growing cold and thin. Those who stare into the stone for too long risk seeing things not meant for mortal eyes—shadowed figures moving between worlds, their hollow eyes fixed on the wearer.

Current Location: Hung from a rusted iron hook in Section 7, Row 5, its case frequently marked with tiny, black feather prints.
