Reginald Hart

Alias: The Gentleman Who Never Sleep
Before Captivity:
Reggie was a newlywed and train conductor, dedicated and punctual, with a fondness for pocket watches and Sunday roasts. During a stormy night in 1984, he stopped at a station that didn’t exist on any timetable. He stepped off the train and vanished.

In Faylinn:
Reggie became a living pendulum, encased in a transparent obelisk at the heart of a fae palace. His heartbeat controlled the flow of time across the court. If it paused, everything froze. Sleep was forbidden. His body grew unnaturally still and clocklike. In place of food, he was fed on the rhythmic dreams of passing ghosts. He remembers the ticking of centuries, not in sound—but in muscle memory.

After Return:
He returned to the mortal world decades later, unchanged, still clutching a vintage train ticket. His wife had grown old without him. He now runs a quiet watch repair shop in Rochester, obsessively maintaining clocks and avoiding sleep. If he drifts off, his body seizes up—time around him feels like it slows, unnerving those nearby.
