The Ghost Channel Compass

“It doesn’t point north. It points toward what still calls for you.

An old-fashioned compass with sea-glass in place of a needle. Instead of pointing to magnetic north, it shifts toward unresolved ties—a person who mourns you, a place where you’re still remembered, or a name said with longing.

The compass twitches wildly near trauma zones and becomes violently still when nearing complete erasure.

Sometimes, it spins fast before settling on an impossible direction—straight down.

Used to identify unstable Salt Hollow rifts and emotional residues. Nicknamed “the Longing Dial” by Institute divers.
