Classification: Mourning Plant
Location: Grows only where someone has burned a letter, journal, or book willingly
Description:
Slender black stems with tiny white flowers shaped like teardrops. The soil around the plant is always dry, but the leaves shimmer with moisture like dew.
Properties:
Feeds on lost words and burnt knowledge. Being near it can cause sudden, unshakable guilt for forgotten things. Plucking one causes a faint sound of pages fluttering to echo outward.
Lore:
Said to grow from the ashes of regret. Faerie lords often cultivate them as silent accusations in their gardens.
Uses:
The petals can be brewed into a draught called the Elixir of the Final Page, used to recover one lost piece of written memory—but at the cost of forgetting something else.
Warning:
Never plant near other memory-affecting flora (like Bloodbloom). The psychic interference causes dreams to loop.
