Classification: Veil-Phased Plant
Location: Found only near gates, crossings, or ritual circles
Description:
A delicate fern with fronds like woven lace. Appears translucent during the day and becomes fully visible only during fog, mist, or enchantment.
Properties:
Able to anchor unstable magical boundaries. Causes illusions to slip or falter near it. Rumoured to be disliked by most fae.
Lore:
Grows only in places where the mortal and fae worlds have kissed. Its seeds are almost impossible to harvest and can only be planted in dream-soil (a mixture of mortal clay and memory-ash).
Uses:
Essential in the crafting of truth-charm rings or grounding circles for psychic travel.
Warning:
Touching a Mistglass Fern with a lie in your heart will leave a burn mark shaped like its fronds on your palm until your truth is spoken.
