(The Moth of Forgotten Rooms)
- Appearance: Humanoid but slightly wrong—skin pale as wax, eyes moonlit silver. Wings vast and velvety, mottled like bruises and shaped like windows. Dresses in nightgowns, often trailing thread or ash.
- Personality: Gentle, sorrowful, but impossible to trust. Drawn to grief like moths to flame.
- Abilities:
- Dream-Stepping: Enters and weaves through the dreams of those who wander the Briar Reaches. Can also follow dreams into the waking world.
- Memory-Borrowing: Collects abandoned memories in jars. Trades them, sometimes gives them back—but they always come back changed.
- Lullaby-Wing: Her wings hum sleep into the air. Travellers fall asleep when near her—sometimes for minutes, sometimes for decades.
- Domain: A nesting palace of broken mirrors and silk cocoons, floating above the forest in a wind that only blows at dusk.
- Rumors:
- She remembers being human. She keeps the memory in a jar, but is afraid to open it.
- If she enters your dream and finds no sorrow, she will leave you untouched. If she finds grief, she will stay.
