The Glass Page

Aliases: The Child of Mirrors, The Recording Shade

Description:

Juvenile humanoid, transparent and glasslike, approximately 1.2m tall. Interior faintly illuminated by residual reflections of nearby entities. Capable of movement without audible sound; footsteps emit faint chime.

Nature and Behaviour:

The Glass Page functions as archivist and courier of memory, absorbing visual data from any reflective surface. Reproduces recorded speech and motion in fragmented sequence. Exhibits curiosity but lacks comprehension.

The Page is drawn to mirrors, camera lenses, or still water. Extended observation results in displacement of the observer’s reflection, followed by mimicry. Victims describe sensations of light “stepping out” from glass.

Field Notes:

Surveillance footage revealed reflections of personnel persisting 14 seconds after departure. Subsequent review showed the Page standing in the empty corridor.

Containment Protocols:

Deactivate all optical and digital recording equipment during investigation of reflection anomalies. Employ matte-finish visors. Any spontaneous light echoes to be neutralized via shadow saturation.
