Description:
A hand-carved comb with teeth made of Glimmerthorn. Etchings along its spine resemble fae tally-marks. If run through the hair of someone once taken into the Reaches, the comb may cause brief, painful flashes of memory.
Properties:
- Triggers memory echoes linked to fae abduction or transformation.
- Binding thread left behind in the comb’s spine can be used to trace lineage or tether a subject to their lost self.
Known Usage:
Believed to be part of a grooming ritual for changelings. May also have been used to “comb out” emotion before glamour was applied.
Warning:
Use on non-changelings results in hair loss, confusion, and rapid-onset delusion. The last operative who used the comb twice went mute for 12 hours and insisted he “heard the forest speaking back.”
