Scroll of the Broken Pact

“Ink runs like blood when it’s brought into air.

Housed in a brittle driftglass cylinder fused with coral, the Scroll of the Broken Pact is the oldest known surviving fae-sea artefact. No one knows what it says. The script can only be read underwater—if unsealed on land, the ink disperses in a thin, weeping cloud.

Trench faiths claim the scroll contains the original agreement between land, sea, and fae—before the Salt Hollows were sealed away. Some say it names the Sovereigns of each realm. Others say it’s blank unless you’ve already betrayed someone.

📍 Currently held in submerged vault at Site Trident-7. Readings attempted during full moon tide alignments—none successful.
