Alias: The Last to Leave
Disappeared: 1928
Origin: Heiress and tabloid regular—one of the “Bright Young Things”
Incident: Clarissa and five friends set off for a scandalous weekend party at a country manor in the Downs. The car was later found, engine still warm, doors open, a champagne bottle broken in the grass. They were never seen again—until Clarissa reappeared in 1953 at the same manor’s back doorstep, barefoot and dressed in a 1920s flapper gown now hopelessly outdated. She hadn’t aged.
Faylinn Experience: The party never ended—only looped, growing stranger and more echoing. The guests became ornaments, laughter winding down like gramophones. Clarissa wandered through mirrored ballrooms, trapped in a haze of glamour, forgetting names and years. She found her way back when no one clapped for the toast.
Scars:
Can’t recognize her own reflection
Sometimes talks to people not there—“old friends who haven’t caught up yet”
Refuses to celebrate birthdays
Present Role: Lived in a secluded estate near Rye. FDG monitored her for temporal displacement events. She continued to look much younger than her true age until her eventual death in 2008, aged 110. Her old party guests remain unaccounted for.
