Rosemary Allen

Alias: The Girl Who Left Her Name Behind
Origin: Canterbury, modern day

Before Captivity:
Rosie was a folklore student at the University of Kent, practical and curious, with a love of dusty books and ghost stories. One misty October night, while walking home from the library, she heard her boyfriend’s voice call her name from the hedgerow. She stepped toward it—and vanished.

In Faerie:
Rosie was pulled into a love loop, bound to a fae noble who wore a different face each day. Each time, she fell for him anew. Her name was the key to the enchantment—spoken in devotion at the peak of the illusion, sealing the loop. When she realized this, she stopped speaking her own name. As punishment, she was forced to wear mirror masks—faces of others, never her own. She forgot who she was, becoming a ghost of identity.

After Return:
Seven years later, Rosie reappeared. She cannot remember her full name and flinches when someone uses it. She introduces herself with different names, though “Rosie” is the one she clings to most. She obsessively studies lost names and fae pacts. Her face sometimes seems unfamiliar, even to herself. When she’s alone, reflections show her wearing other faces.
