Dot was taken to a gilded orchard where her role was to taste-test magical fruits bred from human emotion. She was treated like a pet and princess both—pampered, praised, and gently exploited. Over time, her teeth fell out and were replaced with silver buds, tuned to taste enchantment. These metal teeth reflected not just light, but truth. She learned which fruits caused joy, sorrow, or visions—and which caused people to forget.
After Return:
She reappeared a year later, smiling with a mouthful of tiny, perfect silver teeth. She refuses to eat anything not freshly picked and becomes hysterical around processed foods. She laughs at strange moments and hums tunes that haven’t been written yet. Her family doesn’t speak of what happened.
