Description: An old, rusted lantern, its glass panels darkened with soot and age. The metal frame is twisted and pitted, as if exposed to intense heat, and the handle is wrapped in frayed, oil-stained cloth. The lantern emits a flickering, greenish light that casts elongated shadows, even when there is no wind.
Acquisition: Discovered in the center of a burned-out field in 1962, its glass panels still faintly warm despite the cold autumn air. Local farmers claimed the lantern had been carried by a ghostly figure glimpsed among the blackened stalks, its light visible even through thick, clinging fog.
Known Effects: When lit, the lantern reveals hidden paths between worlds, its light casting long, shifting shadows that seem to reach for the living. Those who have used the lantern to guide their way have often disappeared without trace, their footsteps fading into the whispering dark.
Current Location: Stored in a steel case lined with silver mesh, Section 11, Row 2, its glass panels frequently fogged with a thin layer of frost, even in summer.
